THE Zanu PF Harare East MP Terence Mukupe has expressed pleasure over the resolution of the Kugarika Kushinga Cooperative squabbles which lasted over 15 years.
Mukupe said he was excited that they have finally solved the issues that bedevilled the oldest housing cooperative in Zimbabwe, Kugarika Kushinga.
"The 1,000 strong members were being held at ransom by the founding executive for over 15 years. Cooperative assets were looted with other members losing their homes illegally. Sanity has prevailed at last," he said.
"I'm grateful to the Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises, Hon Sithembiso Nyoni, for heeding our call and appointing an administrator. The cooperative members are well on their way to finally obtaining title deeds to their properties! !!! As per our election promise we have adopted a zero tolerance to corruption in our constituency! Empowerment of the poor will be our rallying cry!"
