G40 'kingpins' go back to school

Perceived G40 stalwarts- who include Saviour Kasukuwere, Jonathan Moyo, and Patrick Zhuwao- have enrolled, and are in the same class studying law at the University of Zimbabwe.

What has tickled interest is that the G40 is said to be locked in a factional fight with supporters of VP Emmerson Mnangagwa (who is also a lawyer by profession) in Zanu-PF's succession wars.

Writing on his Facebook page, Energy Mutodi, who is studying the same course with the trio, said their enrolment in the degree showed that "they have serious intentions" to succeed President Robert Mugabe."

He Mutodi also questioned if the trio were feeling less qualified for their ambitions seeing that most of their competitors are lawyers and active politicians.
