The First Lady Grace Mugabe will head to Masvingo on Friday, at a time the perennially-troubled province finds itself deep in the throes of worsening factionalism.
Sources have said that the Women's League boss was expected to reverse the recent suspension of Masvingo provincial chairperson Paradzai Chakona who was ousted from his position on allegation of "fanning factionalism in the party".
Chakona used to be linked to VP Emmerson Mnangagwa, but fell out after he attended Grace's last rally in Rushinga last month.
Mnangagwa, who is embroiled in a tussle with Grace, is said to be in total control of the provincial structures that engineered Chakona's ouster.
Another insider said many leading Mnangagwa allies in Masvingo were likely to face Grace's wrath.
