Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa has dismissed reports in some sections of the media claiming that there are serious divisions in Zanu PF, describing such utterances as wishful thinking.
The private media of late has been awash with reports that there are serious rifts within the ruling Zanu PF which will eventually see the people's party collapsing.
Vice President Mnangagwa, who was speaking during a Zanu PF fundraising dinner held on Friday night in the capital, poured cold water on such reports saying the ruling party is united and will not split.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the Zanu PF fundraising committee Dr Obert Mpofu expressed gratitude to the support by the business community and assured delegates of a productive conference.
"We are hopeful we are going to exceed our target evidenced by what we got here," said Dr Mpofu.
The 15th National People's Conference, which will be held in Victoria Falls from the 7th to the 13th of December this year, will run under the theme: Consolidating People's Power Through ZIM ASSET.
