'Zimbabweans have a problem of desperation because of love for money'

A social and political commentator based in Gwanda Bekezela Maduma Fuzwayo has said Zimbabweans suffer from desperation caused by love for money.
"As Zimbabweans we have a serious problem of being desperate as a result of love for money so much that we are easily swayed at every flush of a little note," he said.
"Our desperation for money makes us very easy targets for abuse through bribery so much that in the end we can't stand up and think rationally and really care about our future"
He said anyone who comes with pieces of dollars even if we know the source of the dollars is an instant king and we worship them at the mercy of getting a couple of cents thrown down to us.
"When it's time to elect our leaders the first criteria we use in choosing the person is looking at the person's riches most of which we know to have come from corruption and thuggery, things which have brought this country to it's knees," said Fuzwayo.
"Hardly do we take time to bring ourselves to order and check on the aspiring person's brains and capabilities let alone their past and their reason for wanting to be there. In almost all of these greedy and corrupt people their reason of wanting to lead us just to continue thieving and consolidating their power over the downtrodden masses," he added.
Fuzwayo said right now Philip Chiyangwa an obvious and know business tycoon and political opportunist who has build his own kingdom through corruption and careless destruction of the country is busy throwing money around to be ZIFA president when it is apparent that he just doesn't have an idea what he will get into that office and do.
"When things beginning to go wrong we always want to blame the leaders we put in place without thinking beyond their money. It is us Zimbabweans to blame for our own problem," he said. "We should never stand up and complain of a bad cake when it was us who took a butcher to bake the cake and sent the baker to slaughter a cow. It's very high time we stand up and say no to being abused and turned desperate by people who have money and most cases blood money."
He said Zimbabweans will never make better this country if they remain so much subscribing to being bribed and exploited.
"A better Zimbabwe is in our hands as Zimbabweans and a worse off Zimbabwe remains through the hands of these very corrupt people we si much worship while they destroy the country," he said.
