Chimene snubs Mnangagwa, minister for touts

Minister of State for Provincial Affairs for Manicaland Mandi Chimene was on Friday place in a catch 22 situation in which she had to choose between hosting VP Emmerson Mnangagwa at a public lecture in Nyanga and Indigenisation minister Patrick Zhuwao at Mutare Vocational Training Centre graduation.

In the end she elected to be with touts and snubbed both.

Chimene opted to spend the day with touts at Sakubva Bus Terminus at a police service charter re-launch.

Her failure to stand with Zhuwao was a surprise to many especially considering the fact that the two are linked to the G40 faction.

Sources said that Chimene is seeking to play it safe by sitting on the fence and not betraying her true allegiance.
