Parliament gobbles $1,6m a month yet there is no policy change - HRT

Harare Residents Trust has accused the Zimbabwean Parliament for gobbling more than $1,6 million per month yet they are not bringing any positive policy change in the country.

The Trust said there were a lot of pieces of legislation which are supposed to be aligned to the constitution but the august house is reluctant to do that instead it continues to squander the state funds

"Parliament gobbles USD $1,6 million a month, yet we are not seeing any changes in policy making so far we have 8 pieces of legislation that have been realigned against a list of 400 pieces of legislation that are outstanding and need realigning with the new Constitution included are pieces of legislation that govern Local Authorities that have not been amended," said the trust.
