Harare Residents Trust alarmed by ignorance of Cellular companies

Harare Residents Trust has expressed alarm and shock over the ignorance of Cellular companies who are erecting base stations within the residential ares without consulting the locals.·
The Trust said the developments were unfortunate and needs to be sorted out.
"The HRT is alarmed at the depth of ignorance being displayed by cellular operating companies that are just erecting cellular base stations within residential stands without prior authorization and consultation of residents in the area," said the trust.
"What is worrying is that our Council is taking a long time to get these illegal erections of base stations pulled down. We urge the City Fathers to respond to such issues with a matter of urgency to stop these companies from violating the rights of residents."
