MDC-T Mayor proposes water payments at Zesa

Bernard Manyenyeni Harare Mayor is proposing the introduction of a new system where water and electricity bills are to be paid together at Zesa offices to ensure that residents clear their debts.

He made the proposal to Local Government Minister Saviour Kasukuwere last week after realizing that there was resistance to the traditional way of paying water bills.

The mayor said if approved his suggestion was a likely game changer with the potential to revive all other cities and towns in terms of revenue collection and service delivery.
