Public Service minister, Prisca Mupfumira, has indicated that civil servants would receive their bonuses this year, with members of the military expected to get theirs this month.

Other civil servants would receive their bonuses between December and January.

However Finance minister, Patrick Chinamasa, is said to have indicated last week that the government did not have the finalized wherewithal to fund the bonuses, raising fears that government might fail to honour its commitment.

By last week, pensioners had not yet received their pensions from Treasury due to cash challenges.

Government requires at least $140 million to fund bonuses for the 553,000 civil servants.
