War vets confront Kasukuwere

Zanu-PF's national political commissar, Saviour Kasukuwere, last week came face to face with irate war veterans in Marondera where he had gone to stop raging factional fights. Kasukuwere had gone for a PCC meeting with other senior Zanu-PF politicians.

The war veterans demanded to be part of the meeting despite them not being members of the PCC.

The war veterans confronted him and were backed by a number of youths. Some even came close to manhandling him as he walked into the hall where the meeting was to take place.

Kasukuwere had to address them after they eventually barged into the meeting, and he kindly asked them to leave. War veteran are aggrieved by relentless attacks by members of the G40 of which Kasukuwere is seen as the face of the group although he denies it.
