A Harare man – Stephen Museve has disowned his mother after he blamed her for killing his dad with a pot.

Alice Museve is now seeking a protection order from the courts claiming she is being verbally and emotionally abused by Stephen.

"He is in a habit of insulting me, I have since reported him to Warren Park police station.

"The respondent accuses me of striking my husband with a pot leading to his death. He told me that I had also killed his uncle, brother and now I was about to end his life.

"When I dragged him to the police, I wanted him to apologise and the police to nock some sense into his head.

"He was also brought before the High Court in a bid to stop me from changing the ownership of the house to my name," she said.

She added "In the neighbourhood, he disown me as his mother, he goes around telling people that I'm not his mother. He is my second child; I gave birth to him in 1975".

Stephen responded saying "Problems started after the death of my father when he left cattle in the applicant's rural home.

"I brought her before the High Court because she wanted to change ownership of the house. She has no rights to change ownership since she is my father's second wife".

However, magistrate Ruth Samukange granted the protection order to Alice.
