Analyst blast Harare for rejecting Rands

Social and political analyst Ngqabutho Mabhena has blasted Harare authorities for hypocrisy by pretending to be pursuing Africanism yet they reject South African Rands in favour of the United States of America Dollar.
The developments come at a time when the Rand hit $1 is to R15 low with many business operators in Zimbabwe now rejecting the currency preferring people to buy using US dollar.
"The so called Pan Africanist in Harare prefer to use an imperialist currency (US $) against the African currency (rand). They pack up their supermarkets with South African goods in the name of African solidarity yet they reject the Rand. Why not shop and fill up their supermarkets with American goods?" said Mabhena.
