Harare Residents Trust has challenged the residents to unite and challenge the council over lack of accountability in its operations.

"Residents should, unite and find common ground. Regularly convene community meetings to discuss the City Council and its services," said the trust.

"Elected representatives should respond to residents' concerns without excuses Make firm resolutions as residents and follow them up with the City Council, service providers and elected representatives."

The trust said people must document their community issues and present their views to the ward Councillor, Chairperson of a relevant Council Committee, the Mayor and the HRT.

"If the issue is about corruption state date, the people involved and the circumstances submit to HRT Residents' Committee in your suburb, or get hold of our office directly. We will get to the bottom of the issue." said the trust.
