The MDC-T senior official Job Sikhala has said he is convinced that 75% of Zimbabwe's adult population have a capacity to be president though the country has remained stuck with one very old president Robert Mugabe since independence in 1980.
"When the history of our nation is written one day it shall be the Dream that never was. The dream that was betrayed. The dream that remained a mirage. A dream that will make us un forgiven by future generations as political leaders," he said.
"The centre of our problems being our inability to have a careful reflection of what our people need. There is no doubt that I am of the conviction that 75% of our adult population has the capability to be a President of our country. Out of our 15 million plus Zimbabweans both in the country and diaspora Zimbabwe can only have one president at a time. We on the opposition front have the history of dragging ourselves backwards because we all want to be Presidents."
He said the victim of such mindset is the people in the country who have suffered enough.
"Today l would like to make my prediction of what will be the political set up as per any future contestation of power in Zimbabwe. Politics will be set in manner that is entrenched in hatred and hopelessness. Despite the Zimbabwean people's desire for a grant coalition of all forces against Robert Mugabe ' s regime, there is little expected from this wish by the people," he said.
"The MDC will be cornered by other political parties and fight on its own strength and power. There is no doubt that hate him or love him Morgan Tsvangirai has still a strong following in this country more than any other leaders in opposition. Recent survey results by Mass Public Opinion has demonstrated it."
Sikhala said it is difficult to remove people from an individual they believe stood with them during the period of difficulties in the democratisation of the country.
"Many political parties will refuse to get into a coalition with the MDC outside no any other motive but jealous that Tsvangirai remains a big shadow in the politics of our country," he said.
"What makes it difficult to create a coalition between Morgan Tsvangirai and Mai Mujuru who will definitely contest any future elections for Presidency is the recent Ugandan episode. The attempt to build a fortress of opposition bulwark against Yoweri Museveni between Kizza Besigye and Museveni 's former Prime Minister Mama Mbabazi is the refusal of the two to play a subordinate role to one another."
Sikhala said despite attempts by democratic forces to brink the two together at the Manchester Conference in UK recently did not obtain any results.
"The two protagonists filed papers to contest the Presidency as separate candidates. The Mujuru supporters believe that their leader has a strong brand that is enough to challenge the system that has humiliated her into opposition politics," Sikhala said.
"To spite Morgan Tsvangirai and its mass supporters Tendai Biti's PDP, Dumiso Dabengwa 's ZAPU, Simba Makoni 's Mavambo Kusile Dawn and a plethora of other small parties will congregate around Joyce Mujuru. Welshman Ncube and Elton Steers Mangoma will refuse any coalition with anyone."
He said they will move with the propaganda that it is best for Zimbabwe to choose the best candidate for themselves not creating occults.
"Any future elections will be the most vicious electoral contest ever witnessed in our country. I am no prophet but l sometimes been blessed with predicting the truth for a long time. Many friends of mine know that," Sikhala said.
"I am afraid to give the predictions of any future elections because my Facebook page is monitored 24 hours by state security agents and I find it irresponsible to give the truth of how election results will come out like because I risk alerting the people's enemy. If after careful reflection I see whether it is prudent to give my own prediction."
