Botswana, Zimbabwean cops arrest 6 suspected murderers

SIX suspects, wanted in connection with two murder cases, which occurred in Botswana, have been arrested after a joint operation by police officers from the neighbouring country and their Zimbabwean counterparts.

The Voice Newspaper reported on Tuesday that the police managed to recover property and money allegedly stolen during the two murder incidents.

Five of the suspects have been linked to the October 24 murder of a 71-year-old security guard in Francistown.

"Two of the suspects, Brilliant Thabisani (25) and Mbakiso Makhakhe (36), were arrested in Botswana, while three others were arrested in Zimbabwe," The Voice reported.

Names of the suspects arrested in Zimbabwe could not be established yesterday.

Police were still on the hunt for three other suspects in the case.

The security guard was attacked and killed in a robbery incident while on duty last month.
