First lady Grace Mugabe reportedly said donations she was making to the Mbare community would be distributed by members of the Zimbabwe National Army and the police a move that shows that she is in charge.
The Zanu PF Women's League Secretary, donated food to 35 000 households in Mbare which she said police and army will distribute.
She made the remarks while addressing a rally at Chishawasha grounds in Mbare on Thursday last week.
"I have my own team of police and army officers who will disburse food stuffs I have donated to this constituency so that there is no word of misappropriating of these things. They get orders from me directly so residents should not worry about the donations not getting to them," she said.
Mugabe donated 150 tonnes of rice and 250 tonnes of maize to 35 000 households in Mbare saying she wanted to make sure that people do not starve.
