JSC hunting for locksmith to beef up security
23 Nov 2015 at 11:01hrs | Views
The Judiciary Services Commission is searching for locksmiths to provide an array of services with speculation rife that the department is boosting security.
Last year, four Supreme Court judges lost keys to their chambers, a development that posed a serious security threat at Mashonganyika Building which houses the Supreme Court and Constitutional Court.
The incident came barely a week after some unknown people broke into the chambers of Chief Justice Godfrey Chidyausiku and stole a desktop computer and a television set.
At the time, Mashonganyika Building was being manned by a private security company called Rangers Security.
According to a notice, JSC said "Applications are invited from Companies who wish to provide locksmith services on behalf of the Sheriff of the High Court."
Deadline has been set for the fourth of December.
