MDC-T's Maridadi deserted by lawyer

Mabvuku-Tafara legislator James Maridadi (MDC-T) was yesterday deserted in court by his lawyer in a matter he is accused of stealing a National Railways of Zimbabwe receipt book.

Maridadi told the court he had been trying to get hold of his lawyer yesterday morning, but had failed.

Asked by magistrate Takundwa Mtetwa, who the lawyer was, Maridadi shocked the court when he said he could not recall his attorney's name.

Maridadi said he had been trying his number since morning, but in vain.
