Injiva runs to big tree hangs himself over alleged wife infidelity

An Injiva hanged himself after hearing rumours that his wife was having an affair while he was in South Africa.
Mbonisi Maphosa aged 34 from Silobela attempted to kill his wife - Thandazani Dlodlo and their six month old son.
He had set his in-laws bedroom hut alight while his wife and son where inside.
His wife was alarmed by smoke that had engulfed the hut. She was burnt on her stomach and hands.
Out of panicked he fled to the bush and hang himself.
"He said some people told him I was in love with a man from the area. After that an argument started then he took his passport and left."
The woman told B-Metro that Maphosa "poured petrol on our bedroom hut and set it ablaze. He thought we were dead, ran to a big tree where he hanged himself".
