'Zanu-PF dead and buried,' says Makoni

Simba Makoni has said that the ruling party, Zanu-PF, was dead and buried. He claimed that the party no longer had any grass root support and was just an upper crust of leadership.

Makoni also said his political party, Mavambo/Kusile/Dawn, was prepared to work with other pro-democracy groups.

"If tomorrow Robert Mugabe wakes up having changed like Paul in the Bible, we can work with him," he said.
