ZIFA presidential candidate, Trevor Carelse-Juul has launched his election manifesto premised on a 10 point plan to transform the fortunes of Zimbabwean football.
A former player, coach, club chairman, Coaches Association Chairman, ZIFA chairperson and businessman told the media that he is the 'saviour' and is confident of victory.
Addressing the media at the manifesto launch, Juul said his desire is to unite Zimbabweans through football, adding that after meeting the councillors one on one, he is confident this is an election he must win for the good of football in Zimbabwe.
"Football is in my blood and I love the game and the people. I am responding to the call to serve my country and to give the people what they are crying for," he said.
Juul said debt is the key challenge facing Zimbabwean football while poor financial management, flaws in the constitution and the secretariat's failure to exercise strategic and entrepreneurial leadership are the other impediments his 10 point plan will address.
On allegations that he only resurfaces during elections, Juul said the world is now a global village and he would use his global network and rich experience in business to ZIFA's advantage.
The ZIFA elections will be held this Saturday, the 5th of December and there are four candidates in the presidential race.
Besides Juul, James Takavada, Philip Chiyangwa and Leslie Gwindi are also in the running.
