MDC-T launches a leadership academy

The MDC-T has launched an academy where its leaders will receive training in leadership qualities and skills.
Party organising secretary Nelson Chamisa said the programme titled Lead Zimbabwe (Leadership Excellency Academy for Democracy) was meant to teach the leadership about ideological thought on social democracy and would help educate all leaders from party president Morgan Tsvangirai to the lowest person in the party structures.
The academy was launched last Friday with the party's top brass getting tutorials from respected academics.
The Movement for Democratic Change led by Industry and Commerce Minister, Welshman Ncube officially opened a School of Politics, the first of its kind in Zimbabwe, on 26 August 2011.
The School of Politics which is located in Bulawayo central business district will be enrolling youths from all walks of life and teach them about Zimbabwe politics.
