Girl (19) steals lover's army uniform, goes on drinking spree

A teenage girl in Harare stole her boyfriend's army uniform and went on a drinking spree but claimed to have planned to get a free ride to watch a soccer match.
Pamela Siliya aged 19 of WaterFalls was nabbed in Domboshava by a soldier, and whisked her to KGVI for her arrest.
It had been discovered that Pamela was not a soldier.
She admitted to stealing the uniform when she appeared before magistrate Nomsa Sabarauta.
In court she claimed she had no bus fare and though of stealing the uniform to get a free ride.
"I am not a soldier. I wanted to go and watch a game but I had no bus fare.
"It was when I decided to put on the uniform to enjoy the privilege of traveling for free.
"I was not aware that it was an offence."
She added that she survives on playing snooker, raising $20- each week and pleaded for mercy.
