Mugabe, Zanu PF fooled Mashonaland from 1980

A political commentator Mtheniwa Debele Ndlovu has said President Robert Mugabe and his Zanu PF fooled the people of Mashonaland in 1980 till 1990 to vote for him and his party hoping it was the party that would empower them economical.

Ndlovu said Mugabe and Zanu PF managed to fool the people of Mashonaland from 1980 till the mid-1990s. By 2000 the Shonas had realised they were made to believe lies, all Zimbabweans both the Shonas and Ndebeles spoke with one voice, Zanu PF then infiltrated their biggest threat ever ie MDC and split the party," he said.

"Contrary to the relentless post by the hired Mugabe apolosgists in this platform and other platforms, Mugabe has never been, is not and will never be a hero, history will judge him."

He said Mugabe never fought the white oppressive regime, but Joshua Nkomo, Josiah Tongogara, J Z Moyo, Hebert Chitepo, Rex Nhongo, Alfred Nikita Mangena and others are true heroes of the struggle.

"Mugabe opportunistically worked his way up in the Zanu PF hierarchy, crafted the 1979 Grand Plan that included among other things creating dissidents and planting the weapons in the ZAPU farm so that he can use those two to systematically crush Zapu," he said.
