Majome sues Zimpapers for $300 000

Harare West MP Jessie Majome (MDC-T) has taken State run media group Zimbabwe Papers to the High Court demanding $300 000 in damages following latter's publication of an article which the legislator said impaired her dignity in society and in the world.

The article titled 'Independence Day is coming' which was published on April 11 this year, contained some information which was highly defamatory of her.

Zimpapers has since entered appearance to defend and the matter is pending at the High Court.
