A political commentator Fanuel Nsingo has said President Robert Mugabe is moving towards his end by launching an attack of the armed forces and he will only be rescued by the war veterans.
"In the US, we see President Obama praising and 'honoring' fallen heroes and the patriotic men and women in uniform who have endangered their lives deep in the trenches and continue to defend America' s cause," he wrote in his opinion pierce.
"Obviously, Zimbabwe is not America, as Robert Mugabe wages war against the country's most decorated citizens who fought the Smith regime blood and flesh, leading to the peace talks."
He said it is clear that the nonagenarian is seeking revenge against the freedom fighters who briefly 'grabbed' the 'powers' from him when the late Chenjerai Hunzvi led his folks against Zimbabwean white farmers.
"Mugabe's recent threats aimed at the security and intelligence individuals(and organisations), alleging that they are aiding factionalism in the rotten party is proof that has finally debunked the myth(s)/ propaganda that these most feared institutions were forcing Mugabe to remain in power," he said.
"This also gives credibility that Mugabe is not a war veteran himself, fortunately the Americans have a fitting description of self-proclaimed former guerrillas/soldiers - that of a mere prisoner of war"(PoW). And there is ample evidence that Mugabe never led combatants or participated in the liberation struggle to free Zimbabwe."
Nsingo said but they all saw it coming - first there were attempts to discredit Joyce Mujuru for her heroic downing of a plane, followed by similar lies that Emmerson Mnangagwa was never part of the brave Crocodile Squad.
"All this because Mugabe is only mentioned fighting his party leadership for top positions, teaching in Ghana, and meeting Margaret Thatcher several times, seeking assistance to 'snatch' power from potential and legitimate first leaders of an independent Zimbabwe," he wrote.
"Recently, former war veterans leader Chris Mutsvangwa was relieved of his duties on false allegations of fanning factionalism"
He said enter the most comical first lady in the world, Grace Mugabe, who can easily scoop the "Insulter Of The Year 2014/15" award. Please stop it!
"Fortunately, Mutsvangwa's sacking could mark the beginning of the end, as we expect fireworks soonest. This is the right time to test "The Crocodile" s patience and ruthlessness. Its also a perfect chance to strike," Nsingo said.
"Seriously, Robert Mugabe has dug his own grave, and the reverse gear is super-glued! Will the real veterans please rise up! Di sekubangenile! Hezvo! Prepare!(the seat)."
