The past few years have seen some bloody festive seasons with scores of people losing their lives on the country's roads.
There is generally more travellers going on holidays and the excitement among drivers and the desire to have more trips have claimed many lives over the past years.
Most of the accidents have been attributed to human error and there are efforts to ensure the same mistakes must not be repeated in 2015.

Touts have also been warned against harassing travellers and an operation to deal with such lawlessness has been launched.
The touts are however still operating and the ZBC News came face to face with their unruly behaviour at the Showgrounds which is an undesignated pick up point.
