Mubaiwa laid to rest

The late Zimbabwe Republic Police Officer Commanding Harare Province, Senior Assistant Commissioner Shadreck Max Mubaiwa was laid to rest at the Midlands Provincial Heroes Acre on Tuesday.
Speaking at the burial, the Zimbabwe Liberation War Collaborators Association-Midlands provincial chairman, George Hungwe paid tribute to the late Mubaiwa for the great work he did as a war collaborator which he said needed patriots totally committed to the independence of Zimbabwe.
Hungwe also thanked the Zanu PF party and government for their unwavering recognition of war collaborators as shown by according the late Mubaiwa the liberation war hero status.
In his graveside speech, veteran nationalist and former Governor for the Midlands province, Cephas Msipa described the late Mubaiwa as a distinguished and humble senior officer and urged young police officers to emulate his good works and the love for his country.
The late Mubaiwa died on Saturday from injuries sustained when a tree fell on his vehicle along Borrowdale Road opposite St Georges College in Harare.
