Popular Bulawayo self-styled prophet, Blessing Chiza has predicted that Zimbabwe will have its first female President and bloodshed, as part of a flurry of prophecies by various preachers ahead of the beginning of 2016.
Never one to shy away from declaring his prophecies publicly despite many of them going horribly wrong, Chiza also had a more worrying forecast - the return of the Zimbabwean dollar.
But it is the projection of a female President that is likely to trigger interest and debate, as the women's league in the ruling Zanu PF party has been agitating for the inclusion of a woman in the party's presidium.
Writing on his Facebook wall, Chiza, head of Eagle Life Assembly, outlined his 13 prophecies for 2016, saying he foresaw a woman "ruling Zimbabwe like never before".
"I continue to see a time, not now, when Zimbabwe is going to be ruled by a woman, I am seeing a woman holding a sceptre and ruling Zimbabwe like it has never been ruled before," he said.
Turning to bloodshed, Chiza said newspapers shall carry numerous stories of people being killed and injured.
"I see a murder spirit increasing (sic), newspapers will be reporting stories of murders by knife, knobkerries, axes, it's a blood spirit, but we must pray and stop it from claiming the lives of many," he wrote on his list of prophecies.
"There is going to be a critical water shortage problem in the next two or three years, but it needs prayer so that the grace of God may come upon our lives."
On the local currency, Chiza said the United States currency will be removed from the cocktail of multi-currencies.
"The US dollar will be removed and the Zimbabwean dollar will be considered, it's now near," he claimed.
"When it comes, it will be very strong. God has put systems already to receive a strong currency of its own."
Chiza has made various prophecies about Highlanders Football Club and the national men's football team, claiming the Warriors would win the last edition of the Chan tournament, but these were not fulfilled.
Last week, Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries leader Walter Magaya and his United Families International Church counterpart Emmanuel Makandiwa predicted that Zimbabweans would experience better economic fortunes this year, despite the prevailing harsh conditions.
