A political commentator Zexie Mashonga has said Zimbabwean ministers need to be investigated by taxman, the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority over their spending and property they own as to how they managed such flashy lifestyles when the country's economy is bleeding.
This comes in the wake of some top government ministers and officials being witnessed living flashy life styles which are not commensurate with their government earnings at the time when the country is facing serious economic challenges.
"Some people, including ministers need to be investigated by the taxman ZIMRA," Mashonga said.
"The country is bleeding with economic crisis and you see living flashy lives is it not that they are the ones who are dealing illegal in diamonds looted by Zanu PF?. And there is nothing illigal about auditing a citizen. I don't see any problem in allowing a personal lifestyle audit."
