A political commentator Takesure Matewa has said as long as the ruling Zanu PF leaders do not admitted responsibility over Gukurahundi massacres which claimed more than 20 000 lives in the Midlands and Matatebeleland, their prayers will not change the deteriorating economy and drought situation.

"As long as Zanu PF and Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko still deny that they have a hand in Gukurahundi massacre and other ill treatment scenarios of poor Zimbabweans they can pray and fast as much as they want ,no rains will fall," he said.

"The blood of people who were murdered in Matebeleland and midlands and the bones of innocent civilians that Zanu PF murdered and buried in Shallow graves is calling for revenge, they must apologize repent and do the right thing not to tell us that Gukurahundi was a moment of madness."

He asked if they know the difference between a moment and a period.

"If they call it a period of madness then we don't want leaders who go mad for such a long period they must resign," he said.
