If PF manages to split Zanu-PF, it will win

A political commentator Ngqabutho Mabhena has said if the former Vice President Joice Mujuru led People First political project manages to split the ruling Zanu-PF, it will win the 2018 elections but if it continues to eat from the other opposition parties it will just graduate to be an opposition party.
"Zimbabweans are bound to join a political formation that they see as standing a good chance of winning against the current regime," he said.
"History tells us that, for a liberation movement to lose political power, it has to split first. UNIP in Zambia and Kanu in Kenya are good examples. If the People First manages to split the Zanu-PF vote, it stands a good chance but if it continues to eat from the opposition power base, it will simple become the official opposition."
He said once it becomes the official opposition, it will not survive to 2023.
"The question is; where should communists locate themselves?" he said.
