The 26 MDC-T activists who were arrested in May on charges of murdering a police officer in Glen View, Harare were today further remanded to 19 October at the Harare Magistrates' Courts.
Seven of the accused activists are in remand prison after they were denied bail at the High Court in July. They have since made an appeal to the Supreme Court for them to be granted bail but the case is yet to be heard.
Meanwhile, Solomon Madzore, the MDC-T national Youth Assembly chairperson, has been transferred from Rhodesville Police Station to Harare Central Police station for interrogation.
Madzore was arrested at his Waterfalls home yesterday afternoon on charges of murdering the Glen View police officer. This brings to 27 the number of activists who have been arrested on the same charge.
