Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote's chief strategist, Abdul Mukhtar, jetted into the country on Wednesday afternoon.
Mr Mukhtar touched down at Harare International Airport at 12 midday in a follow up to two visits last year that are expected to unlock investment.
Mr Mukhtar did not grant an interview to the media although close sources said he would speak after meeting key government officials.
The Dangote Group has expressed interest in cement manufacturing and energy projects.
Last October, the Zimbabwe Investment Authority issued licences for three projects worth US$1.2 billion paving way for Nigerian billionaire to start implementing business deals agreed with the government in August.
The three projects are a cement manufacturing plant, a coal mining venture and an energy or power plant using coal.
