ZimFirst party leader Maxwell Shumba has said Zimbabweans are living in bondage and can not help themselves from the ruthless hands of their leaders.
He said history shows that people living in bondage or in slavery cannot free themselves.
"They find their situation hopeless to free themselves or often have excuses for their situation. They view the prowess of the master as impossible to destroy. Solution-They have to be freed. History has a record for that," he said.
"Zimbabwe and Zimbabweans today are in a similar situation. The majority are hopeless and have given up on freeing themselves from the economic and political bondage they currently find themselves in."
Shumba said the learned take the easier route flocking to earn the title of cowardice, 'Analyst', the media hide their heads in the sand and come out only to glorify those who seek vanity or seek stories which do not jeopardize their operations.
"Others seek to make fortunes from the misery of well meaning individuals who care about the plight of the people and in particular take advantage of the situation by creating opportunities for thyself at the expense of those who seek to genuinely free the populace," he said. "The population at large rush to seek solace under the armpit of questionable characters masquerading as prophets who, in cohorts with the slave masters, tell them that 'all will be well' year in, year out making sure the population remains cowed."
Shumba said a sizable chunk of some lucky ones escape to foreign lands where they start a new, often harsh, life under the historical term 'Diasporans'.
"Those in power continue to act insensitively and often getting applause from their slaves as they engage in piece meal reforms which in disguise are enacted to ensure the continued perpetuation of their dominance. It's Deja vu! That's leaves the Final Voice to do the work. It's ready for the task. Don't ask us how but prepare to be free and for better times ahead. The vicious circle is about to end," he said.
