Higher Education minister Jonathan Moyo has again been angered by 'unprofessional NewsDay' over claims that he is a nephew to the late Ndabaningi Sithole.
The private run NewsDay, today ran a screaming headline 'Mutsvangwa, Moyo fight over Grace' which insinuated that Moyo was related to the late Sithole.
The claims where levelled by his current top rival War Veterans minister Christopher Mutsvangwa.
Mutsvangwa said Moyo whom he described as a "Johnnie come lately", deserted the liberation struggle to go and study in the United States, where he was sponsored by his uncle, the late Ndabaningi Sithole.
"We now have a professor, who thinks of his glories and prestige accorded to him in the party with an overblown ego and he has mental amnesia about his truancy in the struggle and infirmity about his uncle Ndabaningi Sithole".
Moyo was quick take to social media to blast NewsDay in a series of tweets.
"Whats with @NewsDayZimbabwe? If a madman says Moyo is a rapist they'll just publish without verifying the claim!
"Surely @NewsDayZimbabwe does not need my comment to confirm lunatic claims that I'm Ndabaningi Sithole's nephew!
"The worst part is @NewsDayZimbabwe's claim that I'm Ndabaningi Sithole's nephew. That can be independently verified!
"They should learn to establish the facts independently before seeking my comment. That's the professional approach!
"So do you really think Ndabaningi Sithole was my uncle? Is that difficult for a newspaper to independently verify?
"In fact if Ndabaningi Sithole was my uncle I would be a very proud of it. Outside adoption nobody chooses relatives!
"Can you imagine. I just got a call from my mother who wanted to know which other mother do I have who's a maSithole!
"So if people don't respond to calls newspapers will pinish them by publishing blatant lies about them?".
