Riot police escort Tomana to court

Prosecutor General Johannes Tomana has arrived at Harare Magistrates Court, escorted by riot police officers.

His  charges are still unclear  but it is believed to be in connection with the dropping of charges last week against two people accused of plotting to bomb a dairy owned by President Robert Mugabe.

Government sources have told me that Mr Tomana is accused of withdrawing banditry and money laundering charges against two army officers.

Tomana was on Monday picked up by police for questioning on allegations of obstruction of justice.
