Mugabe order Zanu-PF members to stop abusing social media

Zanu-PF First Secretary and President Robert Mugabe has implored politburo members and other senior party leaders to stop forthwith the use of social media to communicate party activities without going through party channels that have been put in place.
Mugabe, who was speaking during the first politburo meeting this year, also called the party leadership to stop being antagonistic to each other and to always engage each other in constructive discussions that help strengthen the party to fulfil the wishes and needs of the people.
Mugabe also said party leaders should take time for introspection.
The politburo meeting which met for a record 10 and half hours also discussed the issue of succession and factionalism which the party spokesperson Simon Khaya Moyo said was deliberated upon in a frank and friendly manner with all members making their contributions.
President Mugabe reminded the politburo that Zanu-PF is guided by ideology and should not be antagonistic, adding that factionalism in the party should not be entertained at any given time.
Khaya Moyo also revealed that various reports were presented by Secretary for the Commissariat Saviour Kasukuwere, Secretary for Legal Affairs Patrick Chinamasa (on ZIM ASSET) and Secretary for Administration Ignatius Chombo.
Simbarashe Mumbengegwi, who is the Secretary for External Affairs presented a report on President Mugabe's chairmanship tenure in the African Union and highlights of his speech on the need for reform in the United Nations Security Council.
