Matabeleland North villagers scrounging for food- PDP

Matabalelelnd North People's Democratic Party spokesperson Salani Nkomazana have indicated that people in the province were scrounging for food to a point that some families were spending days without food.
He said people in the province were suffering as drought was ravaging the province.
"People here will not harvest and they are also losing livestock as the grazing pastures are totally un available," Nkomazana said. "There are no income generating projects in this province hence there are also no jobs for the youth. The unemployment rate in the province is high, a few who are employed most of them have gone years months without pay."
He said there is no longer woza Friday which workers used to sing as they were getting paid on the days and could go to enjoy their money during the weekend.
"In a free Zimbabwe workers are working for nothing," he said.
