A NAUGHTY Temeraire High School headmaster in Mashava, Masvingo Province was thoroughly beaten by a female teacher for proposing love to her.
Thomas Mureriwa screamed for help after being overwhelmed by the pain of a bamboo stick as the enraged Ophillia Bafana went berserk, bashing him with reckless abandon all over the body.
On Tuesday last week at about 2pm, Mureriwa called Bafana into his office under the pretext that he wanted to discuss some business, only to change the subject to a love proposal. That angered Bafana who lost her cool and picked a bamboo stick before lashing Mureriwa all over the body.
Mureriwa screamed for help but the male staff members who were the first to rush to the scene could not help the situation as Bafana threatened them with lawsuits for sexual abuse if they dared touch her.
"The enraged Ms Bafana, who acted as if possessed, was assaulting Mureriwa while holding his jacket. Fortunately one lady teacher arrived and managed to restrain Ms Bafana from further assaulting the school head after which Mureriwa got off her grip," said a source.
Masvingo police spokesperson Inspector Charity Mazula confirmed the incident.
"I can confirm that we received a case of assault from a teacher from Mashava's Temeraire High School. The matter is still under investigation," said Insp Mazula.
The matter was reported at Mashava Police Station under case number RRB 2514742.
