Two suspected drug dealers arrested at the Harare Airport

2 suspected drug dealers were arrested on Sunday at the Harare International Airport after they tried to smuggle nearly 20kg of ephidrine, which is used to make cocaine, heroine and mandrax.
Memory Mapurisa and Malawian Tsautso Kamwendo were arrested following a tip off. The 19.2kg of ephidrine was hidden in the suspects' suitcases.
Police spokesperson Superintendent Andrew Phiri yesterday said the 2 were still assisting with investigations.
They will appear in court soon for contravening the Medicines and Allied Substances Control Act Chapter 15:03.
