THE dreaded members of President Robert Mugabe's the Central Intelligence Organisation were part of the delegation (s) that went with a bogus Zimbabwe national soccer team to Asian countries for fixed matches a legislator has said.
Further, the former Zifa Chief Executive Officer Henrietta Rushwaya reportedly "abused" the late Vice President Joseph Msika.
The nature and scope of the abuse was not defined. Unconfirmed reports are that Rushwaya had an "illicit thing" going on with the veteran nationalist.
Kambuzuma legislator Wilias Madzimure said 22 September 2011:
"People should understand this. The Office of the Vice President, the Late Vice President went on to be abused by the Chief Executive Officer to the extent that even some of the CIOs from that office were taken as delegates of Zifa especially one by the name Phillip is recorded in every trip.
"There was a CIO who was going with the Zimbabwe Warriors on a looting machine. They were getting money and they were going to the Foreign Exchange rate abusing the exchange rate at US$1:ZW1. This was recorded in the findings of Asiagate.
Madzimure also urged police to arrest and prosecute the Asiagate criminals.
"If the Police are really doing their work, I think they should investigate this and arrest those people. There is nothing we can do to in order to for this game (soccer) to improve except leaning up the Zimbabwe Football and this is only by arresting those people who committed crimes," he said.
Police has not done anything to date.
