MDC-T starts preps for 2018 elections

The MDC-T secretary general Douglas Mwonzora has said the party has started preparations for the 2018 elections with quite a number of rallies set to be conducted across the country.
This comes at a time when the party is also embroiled in factional fights which are likely to weaken its support ahead of the polls.
"The MDC has started in earnest to prepare for the elections. Its rallies in Masvingo last week showed even the most doubting of Thomases that the Party has solid grassroots support. Indeed the events on the ground confirmed Morgan Tsvangirai as the people's favorite for state presidency," Mwonzora said. "Our president and his leadership this afternoon descent on Mashonaland West. With the implosion in Zanu PF it is clear that the victory is for the MDC to lose. In its campaign the Party has hit a beautiful pro-people thrust. Victory is certain."
