A faction of the Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWA) led by Manicaland Provincial Minister of State, Mandi Chimene continues to stand behind the vote of no confidence passed on the Chris Mutsvangwa-led executive.
Mandi Chimene was announced as the interim executive chairperson pending the appointment of a substantive executive. Chimene said that the decision to oust Mutsvangwa and his wife should not be contested.
Mandi Chimene said that the interim executive would be moving across all provinces, explaining the decision to expel Mutsvangwa. Elections to elect a new executive will be held within the next three months.
