Mnangagwa allies wants Mugabe out

The party faction linked to Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa is mounting an open rebellion against President Mugabe as the group pushes for Mugabe's departure.

Sources in the ruling Zanu-PF say that Mnangagwa's supporters are defying not only Grace Mugabe, but the President himself. A politburo member said that those in Mnangagwa's camp are becoming more daring and challenging Mugabe, which is unheard of in the party.

Sources say that Mnangagwa's allies have launched a covert operation dubbed "Operation Shumba", which represents Mnangagwa's totem, in an attempt to prop him up to the party leadership.

Grace Mugabe's tirade against Mnangagwa last Friday at a rally, is thought to have heard the full blessings of the President.

This has proved to be the last straw, and Mnangagwa`s allies are now pushing for Mugabe's ouster.
