Senator Keresensia Chabuka has challenged the Chiefs in the country to act on the black spots which have been identified as always causing accidents in some country's highways and find out a solution to the problem.
Speaking in senate, Chabuka said Chiefs should look at their subjects and feed them.
"There are a lot of accidents happening around the country. There are places where most of these accidents regularly happen and we refer to them as ‘black spots.' Chiefs should do something about those areas. They should carry out cleansing ceremonies in order to appeal to the ancestors to cleanse those areas. That is the duty of the chiefs," Chabuka said.
"I want to leave this to you because you are the owners of this land, you control the land and if the ancestors are speaking, we are referred to as birds which you as chiefs have to look after. We are in all this because of you chiefs. You should do what you are supposed to do."
Chabuka said the mandate that Chief were given by the ancestors should be carried out and they should speak out their voice without fearing anyone.
"You are our leaders, we love you, but we realize that you are silent and if you do that, nothing will move," said Chabuka.
