17 Oct 2011 at 09:20hrs | Views
The bail ruling for Solomon Madzore, the MDC Youth Assembly chairperson and Lovemore Taruvinga Magaya, an MDC youth activist has been postponed to tomorrow at the High Court.
The two are facing false charges of murdering a policeman in May.
Justice Hlekani Mwayera postponed ruling to tomorrow saying she needed time to review the State's response.
The State is opposing bail claiming that Madzore and Magaya have been on the run for the past five months; that they are a flight risk and they have contacts outside Zimbabwe.
However, Madzore has never been on the run and has been attending MDC public events since May. Magaya has also not been on the run and was arrested while at his workplace.
The two are part of 28 MDC members who have been arrested since May on charges of murdering a police officer at Glen View 3 Shopping Centre. The police officer was murdered by unknown revellers at a night club.
