FOURTEEN foreign exhibitors have confirmed their participation at this year's Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) with 87 percent of exhibition space already taken, an official has said.
ZITF general manager Nomathemba Ndlovu revealed the figures during an exhibitors' training seminar held in Bulawayo yesterday where 15 company representatives were instructed on how to carry out successful exhibitions and realise a return on investment.
"ZITF 2016 is around the corner and we're pleased with the campaign progress to date. 87 percent of the space available has been taken and 14 countries have been represented to date," said Ndlovu.
She said some countries have already secured their stands ahead of the April prime showcase. Among these are; Japan, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Pakistan, South Africa and Tanzania.
Individual companies from Canada, China Cyprus, Germany, Russia and Zambia are also expected to showcase at the event.
Ndlovu said inquiries for more national stands have been received from Botswana, India, Russia Zambia as well from more individual companies in South Africa.
She said 260 direct exhibitors from Zimbabwe have confirmed their attendance to date.
The ZITF is one of the largest intra-regional trade fairs south of the Sahara. An annual exhibition, which offers exposure to trade and public visitors, the multi-sectoral, multi-national expo provides a convenient trade hub for the region.
The show will run from 26 to 30 April under the theme "Innovate, Integrate, industrialise".
