MDC-T Youth Chairperson's bail judgment now set for Thursday

The bail judgment for Solomon Madzore, the MDC-T Youth Assembly chairperson and Lovemore Taruvinga Magaya, a youth activist will finally be heard in the High Court on Thursday.
The two are part of 28 MDC-T members who are facing charges of murdering a police officer in May in Glen View.
The State is opposing bail claiming that the two are a flight risk but the defence lawyer says the two are suitable bail candidates. The defence lawyer, Gift Mtisi said the arrest of Madzore two weeks ago was nothing but a ploy by the State to arrest all leaders of the MDC-T Youth Assembly.
Mtisi dismissed claims by the State that Madzore was a flight risk as since the death of the policeman he had travelled outside the country and returned to Zimbabwe. Madzore was arrested at his Waterfalls home while Magaya was arrested at his workplace.
The High Court bail application by Madzore and Magaya was first made last Wednesday and was postponed to Friday. On Friday it was postponed again to Monday after the State prosecutor said he was not ready with his submissions.
On Monday Justice Hlekani Mwayera postponed the ruling to today and said she would make her judgment on Thursday. Of the 28 arrested members, nine including Madzore and Magaya are in remand prison while the rest have been granted bail at the High Court.
The police officer was murdered in cold blood at a night club at Glen View 3 Shopping Centre in May.
